enjoy it! Kazuya Minekura is definitely one of my all time favourite artist, not
just for the art but also for the storytelling. I really love the depth and
complexity of each character that she creates and the reality check that the
world isn't always a pretty place. I did this wall over a year ago but it still
remains one of my favs too because of how much I can see Minekura-ness in it -
lolz!

It's not that hard to do actually, I may end up doing a short tute on it in the
Paint-o-rama group, stay tuned for that! Besides I have a drawing tablet, though
even with that it still took very very long time and much patience to finish.
But yeah, the result is rewarding

I usually do the off-center thing as well but can't remember why I did that .. I
think it's because I really wanted her to be the center item since it's supposed
to be a swag design type of thing. Hmm .. good point though, that might be
what's throwing me off about the composition - it's not te text, might be the
girl.

christmas dinner stuff, so yeah all good. My fiancee's brother proposed to her
gf on Christmas eve during dinner with her family - lol!
I went back in September for an informal engagement dinner with my family and
relatives back home, so that was good to catch up with everyone also to show my
fiancee my root of origins
And of course my parents are coming for the wedding, I'm not walking down the
isle by myself! But no
other relatives can make it I don't think, everyone's busy and pretty much need
something like a year of advanced notice

Yeah I know how you feel, I get emo over Christmas and NYE as well for similar
reason - my folks are also overseas in Indo and I only get to see them like 2-3
weeks in a year. Even when we get together we never really do anything special,
we just sit at home and watch tv coz the roads are crazy during festive seasons.
So yeah, I should really know better by now and stop expecting anything but
somehow I still do, I still want Christmas and NYE to be a special day even
though I often just get disappointed because of high expectations lol!
But yeah, today is no exception, got slightly homesick emo and wasn't really in
the mood for singing the carols at church even though everyone was really happy
to be in holidays and stuff. Tomorrow Christmas day just gonna have a quiet one
with my fiancee and his family - the future in-laws LOL! Which is okay, I know
everyone pretty well and they've helped us heaps with the new house reno and
everything so it's good to spend Christmas with them to say thanks.
And catch up with my sis who also just got engaged on the 27th which should be
good. If anything I think I've already received my Christmas miracle this year.
Me and my sis never get along well since we were kids, massive personality clash
and not a lot of common interest - except for anime/manga lol! So yeah, this
whole time we've had lots of ups and downs, the whole family tension thing which
was worse coz we were sharing an apartment so it got pretty crazy at times lol!
But yeah, I dunno how but I woke up one day feeling all that burden in the past
kinda gone, and I really feel like I want to start over with her and try get to
know her better this time. Weird huh? But kinda nice feeling as well, very
humbling
Anyhoos, let's not stress over the xmas/winter thing, let's call it off this
time around and start over in the new year. It would have been good to get it
done but I couldn't pull it off in time, gomen. I'll keep working on it though,
send it to you for feedback and stuff if you're not going away during that time

I'm soo tempted to ditch the promo thing and just start inviting friends to
join. I've started on something last night, see if I can get anything worthwhile
there. Yeah I'll do that actually, just post the thing up now and invite some
friends to join, don't have to wait for the promo whatever. Maybe should've
thought of it much earlier LOL!
